It’s no wonder that Brazilian-born jewelry designer Moritz Glik attracts such a devoted fan base. First Lady Michelle Obama, Justin Bieber, Mila Kunis and Ben Affleck are just a few of the star studded celebrities Glik lists among his clients. Glik tempers his contemporary sensibility with his passion for antique jewelry to create work that consistently inspires, surprises, and delights. He arrived in Manhattan in 1991, first working as apprentice in the industry and that taught himself to be a major bench jeweler, learning and applying the intricate techniques and details to his work. He creates articulated jewelry, which blends his ability to handcraft pieces in the old world tradition, while bending the rules with distinctive modern slant. Glik´s unique vision and knowledge allows his three-dimensional pieces to intrigue and enchant customers with a rich mosaic of color, proportion and movement. Elegant yet playful, Glik’s sophisticated signature collection creates the illusion of diamonds and precious stones floating in between sapphire crystal settings, all crafted in 18K-gold: an artistry he now calls “Kaleidoscope”. Glik has won two awards for his diamond pieces at one of the most prestigious jewelry competitions, the Couture Design Awards in 2012 and 2013, among other honors. His designs have been featured in WMagazine, Vogue, and InStyle , as well as countless other high profile publications.
